Dami Tejerina
Argentine Rhythm
We had the pleasure of meeting Dami Tejerina in South Beach on a sunny afternoon filled with good vibes. The Argentine DJ arrived in Miami in the middle of a busy tour, and we took the opportunity to chat about his career, his beginnings, and everything he has to offer. With a constant smile and a sense of humility, Dami shared details about his life behind the turntables and his passion for making people dance.
The conversation flowed naturally. Dami recalled his first parties in Buenos Aires, where he started DJing with borrowed equipment and a lot of enthusiasm. He told us that those were years of learning, late nights, and a constant search for his own sound. Today, that sound takes him to different cities around the world, but always with a distinctly Argentine touch.
He also spoke to us about his tours in Latin America and Europe, where audiences welcome him with open arms. “Every city has its own energy,” he said, “and that's what motivates me to keep creating. The connection with people is everything.”
As for his current projects, Dami is preparing a new EP with deeper, more melancholic sounds, fusing downtempo with house . He told us he's collaborating with independent producers and has important dates coming up soon in New York and Santiago, Chile. He's in a very potent creative moment, and it shows in every word he says.
Later, we closed the day at TATORE, a charming restaurant in the heart of Miami. Teresa, the hostess, welcomed us with incredible dishes, luxurious service, and a warmth that made the evening even more special. We tried everything from homemade pasta to a tiramisu that left us speechless. Dami was delighted with the place's offering.
The night closed with hugs, plans to meet up again, and a desire to continue sharing music, stories, and good times. Dami Tejerina came to Miami, leaving a mark of talent, simplicity, and good vibes. From MIAMIX , we thank her for opening her world and letting us be a part, even if only for a moment, of her musical journey.
