We travel on Brightline's exclusive Premium service from Miami to Orlando and discover a comfortable, modern and elegant way to travel.
Thanks to a special invitation, the MIAMIX team had the opportunity to enjoy a round trip to Orlando on the modern Brightline train, specifically in its Premium class, and we can assure you that the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the first moment at Miami Central Station, the experience felt exclusive and fluid. Priority access to the Premium lounge, with continental breakfast, drinks and a relaxed atmosphere, marked the beginning of a comfortable and elegant trip.
Brightline is currently the only high-speed rail service connecting South Florida with Orlando, linking the cities of Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. This modern rail line has redefined travel in the state, offering an efficient and stress-free alternative to the usual traffic on I-95 and the Florida Turnpike.
The entire journey between Miami and Orlando takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes , with brief stops at intermediate stations. The train's top speed reaches 200 km/h (125 mph), making it one of the fastest and most comfortable options for traveling between these two major cities. Furthermore, all stations are strategically located in urban areas, facilitating access to public transportation and additional services.
Traveling in Brightline's Premium Class includes a host of benefits: from expedited check-in, access to VIP lounges, unlimited beverages (with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), gourmet snacks, and reclining seats with plenty of space. Onboard, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is very relaxing, perfect for working, relaxing, or simply enjoying the Florida scenery.
As for prices , the Premium fare varies depending on how far in advance you book and the day's demand, but averages between $79 and $149 per trip between Miami and Orlando. For those who opt for Smart (economy) class, prices start at $39 . Brightline also offers family packages and special group fares, in addition to occasional discounts available on its official website.
The schedules are extensive and flexible: there are daily departures from early morning until late at night, allowing for easy planning of both business trips and weekend getaways. From Miami, for example, trains depart for Orlando at 6:50 a.m. , and the last return train from Orlando to Miami departs at 8:50 p.m.
